It may be the Midwestern nature of the convention, or it may be climate change, but ZERO of the people on the panel/in the audience seemed to think that talking about weather was boring.

Although frankly I did allude to the tradition of the weather being a safe topic when you didn't know what else to say, when I opened the panel, because it was only a few hours after the unspeakable political assassination that happened in our state.
