Right, exactly: I don't want to read about how all non-science geeks (to take the opposite of this example) are horrible and smell funny and deserve to die alone and friendless. But I think it would take me a bit longer to spot that the author was doing that.

And yes: even if it's about something else it's no good. But this one was apparently about that.
