Correction: I forgot that Elantris has two male viewpoint characters/co-protagonists. Mistborn book 1 definitely counts as an individual female protagonist, though this gets less clear in the later books of the trilogy.
(Incidentally, Lirael and Abhorsen have a forgettable secondary male protagonist, who gets way more viewpoint time than he deserves. It's still reasonable to count them, since after all the books are named after her, but I thought I'd mention it since it's easy to forget him if you haven't read the books recently.)
Also, two more from the "what secondary-world fantasy did I enjoy as a kid" list; I have not reread as an adult
The Gammage Cup, Carol Kendall (1959! as far as I can tell it is a secondary world) Marlel of Redwall and possibly later books in the series, Brian Jacques.
