And another cup of tea.

I have officially caught [livejournal.com profile] markgritter's non-con crud.

So that's not the best thing ever. But I'm weirdly happy about it, because the decongestant is actually working and making me feel more human, and while I'm still sick, I can do things like drive and walk up and down the stairs. I just keep clearing my throat a lot and drinking lots of fluids and feeling punky. No falling over! No room spinning out of control! This is so great! This is like when normal people get sick, I bet!

So I'm working on the book revisions, a bit, gently, and I'm doing laundry and figuring out house stuff and not pushing too hard. [livejournal.com profile] timprov and I have started watching Season 3 of Veronica Mars, and I don't think it's going to take us too long to finish. We tend to binge on VM. After this there'll be no more VM to binge on, but I don't think that's going to change the pattern, really. Story arcs are like that -- it's a lot less episodic than most television, even in this season, and so it's a lot harder to put it down for a hiatus of any real length.

I told her [livejournal.com profile] markgritter and I will be there if we're both fit for human society. And that was without any promises of you being disgusting with me!

Season Three! We started it in pirated form brought by non-resident brother (they don't sell it over here, when they do I will be buying) And then the episodes ran out part way through the season. There was much lamenting and ringing of telephones and finally it emerged that he had only bought half of season three (and no, I am not allowed to wail 'Who sells half a season of a series? Who *buys* half a season of a series???'). Veronica Mars is a subject not being mentioned in this household until the end of season three turns up... (Season one and two are being held hostage until this happens) :D

Half a season? That's barbaric! Almost as barbaric as only renewing a show piecemeal! Oh, wait....

Well, there's a little bit more after Season 3. The season premiere of Season 4 seems to have found its way to youtube. Unfortunate that it didn't stop the cancellation, but at least we can see it. I'm linking the post I found it from since it has a few other things you might find interesting.

Um. Yay normal person sick!

Is that the one that's on the DVDs, do you know? Anyway, thanks for passing on the link!

Aften looking at Wikipedia, Amazon and a few other places, I frustratingly, still don't know. The poster didn't include a source citation. While there is a Rob Thomas interview on the DVD, listed as being about pitching Season 4, and unaired scenes, I haven't seen an actual listing.

You're welcome. :) She's doing a set of flash fictions for November, one a day, called Wind Tunnel Dreams (http://shadesong.livejournal.com/tag/wind+tunnel+dreams), and I'm seeing some goodies there.

We do have the DVDs, so I suppose the obvious answer is to watch what's on them and then try what's on the links there and see whether it's looking like a match.

If you're looking for your vertigo, I think I've found it. (Why you would want to, I have no idea.) Might be similar causes, if I'm catching whatever travel crud it is that's attacked my husband.

Well, I found some of it, but if you could refrain from sending the bit you found over here, I'd appreciate it.

I think it was a migraine in my case, because as soon as the dizziness faded a bit I lost vision in about half or one eye, then had a minor nagging headache. I don't really get the actual severe migraine pain, but apparently it's possible to have migraine "auras" without it. It kind of sucks, but it's hard to complain much when it's so clearly obvious how much worse it could be. (Having to deal with utterly strange food on one's second actual day in the office in a foreign country doesn't help, though. Oh, sorry, I'm supposed to be not complaining.)

[identity profile] mrissa.livejournal.com 2007-11-08 01:07 pm (UTC)(link)
You can complain if you want to. Migraine stuff sucks royally, and unfamiliarity with your surroundings cannot possibly help.

Mine only sucks in a baronetage sort of level, compared to stories I've heard of disabling puke-worthy pain.

Baronets can be nothing to sneeze at.
