I loved the Callahan stories when I was a teenager and I wish I had never tried re-reading them. I responded to them saying they're about inclusivity and diversity and friendship and found family and all good things, but then there's so much that's the opposite of that. Also the humor did not age well. In fact nothing about them aged well.
