Finally, a crusade I can get behind.
Apr. 8th, 2005 10:33 amDo you have to be Unitarian to join the Unitarian Jihad? Because I want to. Lots. I would even bring a hotdish. I could be Sister Repeated Shin Kicking Of Love and Peace. It would be good.

Date: 2005-04-08 03:48 pm (UTC)Of course, where I learned how to be UU, we weren't allowed to call it "church" or drop off "Universalist" from the designation. But not all congregations care so much about these things.

Date: 2005-04-08 05:44 pm (UTC)I am reminded of the title-claiming that went on in the wake of the publication of Good Omens, in which everybody was becoming all the minor horsemen of the apocalypse. "I'm Waitresses Who Ask You How Everything is When You Have Your Mouth Full!" I think I'm the Handgun of Thinking it Over.

Date: 2005-04-09 01:15 am (UTC)I think that's a habit I picked up in California, automatically pointing out what is and isn't vegan-friendly (and making sure something always was). It doesn't seem out of place in our social circles here, though. Sometimes I have the whole litany in my head: "And that one's vegan-friendly, and that one's not safe for people with nut allergies, and that one's got wheat products in it...."
