Stopped at the polls
Nov. 2nd, 2004 11:00 amI had my ballot in my hand and the rainbowy sticker
lydy gave me prominently affixed to my shirt. I was heading for one of the little voting booths when an elderly man stopped me. "Just a second there."
I thrust my driver's license at him, wide-eyed.
He laughed. "I just wanted to see if I'd read that one." He checked the cover of Partners in Necessity. "Nope. Is it good?" "Pretty good. Fun, at least." "I'll keep it in mind. Go vote."
