mrissa: (question)
Look, I'm up too early! And no one else is up with me, and my brain is not being forthcoming on book notes the way it was last night when I could barely keep my eyes open (thanks a lot, brain). So what you get is a meme, most recently seen over on [livejournal.com profile] scott_lynch's journal, or else a short entry you can skip if you don't want to click on the cut-tag: counting down from ten )

I'm here in Madison.

I feel like death on toast with a side of crap on crackers.

I'm hoping a nap will take care of this problem.

I have seen several flist people for long enough to hug them, but I had lunch with a non-con-related friend, so essentially I have done registration and that's it for con stuff so far.

As I said, I have hopes of this nap concept. Because losing consciousness in the middle of someone else's panel is just tacky.

mrissa: (getting by)
I slept for two hours this afternoon and woke up feeling somewhat more human. Went to the dealer's room and a bar (where I had, oh decadent me, an apple) and a restaurant, and on my way back from the restaurant had to lean on [livejournal.com profile] porphyrin and Mike's car for awhile to get steady. So. I know I'm missing a good deal of fun, but I'm shaky enough that I'm just stuck missing it for tonight, and I feel enough better than I did this late morning/early afternoon that I feel confident that the rest of the weekend will likely not be a debacle. I've already enjoyed seeing the people I've seen, it's just that I'm relying more on being horizontal than is really good for parties.

Dr. [livejournal.com profile] porphyrin has taken charge, so all of you may rest easy.

Also I will have a new shiny as soon as I go through and make sure I don't need earrings. "Need." Ahem. But yes: shiiiiiny. With cubes.
