Dad brought the charger up last night, so we'll get the battery charged enough to get the car over to buy a new battery. Or get its alternator fixed. Whichever turns out to be the problem; we suspect the former but are prepared for the latter.

The hot tub people are arranging to get the door off the sun-porch so they can put the hot tub in. (!!!)

The zoo yesterday was pretty cool: nice weather, good company. I got home pretty tired and dizzy, though.

I have read Garth Nix's Sir Thursday, lent to me yesterday by the little girls, and I'm now climbing the walls like everyone else waiting to find out what happens next. And the next volume isn't listed on Amazon yet, that I could find. SIGH.

I have a million and one things to do today, and most of them require me to be upright. The stuff that didn't get done when I was dizzy all day every day is coming back to bite me pretty hard, and I'm not actually feeling great yet, just better.

More later if I manage to carve out a chunk of time for lj.

I don't understand why I love those books so much, but I do. I read all of his newer/non Sabriel-verse books in a short span of time last year (didn't finish shade's children, though, since it seemed sad-ish, and I wasn't ready for that.), and while I liked all of them (even the silly sun shield ones) I now feel like I need to read the days of the week ones all over again. NOW. Damn you. And Damn him too.

yay, hot tub!

I am new here, so I'm probably asking a stupid question: do you know why you are getting the dizzy spells?

This is why "stitial arts" is on my interests list as well as "interstitial arts": these books are smack in the middle of their genre and category, and that's where they belong, and they are good.

Not a stupid question. We have a tentative diagnosis of an inner ear problem, for which I'm taking a med and returning in early July for more tests.

Yah, having a functional battery in the car (which we do) is in the category of "good but not exciting."

And I didn't even know you were expecting! A hot tub, naturally.

And the car battery thing is good, too. Not to be overlooked.

I hope you get to the bottom of it soon!

I had a problem with recurrent dizzy spells for years and once I got to the bottom of it (hypoglycemia and low blood pressure), man did things get easier.

I already had hypoglycemia, low blood pressure, and anemia that we knew of.

I am apparently really, really well endowed with things that make people fall over.

I wouldn't say this was an unplanned hot tub. But once we started trying, it came sooner than we expected.
