Three rejections.

And Ista found her old Piggy, so we have put the new Piggy away in case the old one gets lost again or damaged.

I would not dream of having a cold. It is the farthest thing from my mind. No colds here! The only thing farther from my mind, in fact, is The True Tale of Carter Hall, la la la.

You would think that not writing books would be a lot easier than not thinking of pink elephants.

Not writing a book seems difficult at first, and it does require dedication. But it pays off. I've been at this a long time, and now I can not write a book almost effortlessly.

"I've often not written books."
"No, what you've written is often not books."
Wait. That can't be right. Well, maybe they both are, and I will try to learn from your example in this matter. Especially because today is supposed to be my day off.

Anyway, I'm still glad you sometimes fail at not writing books. Seems best for all concerned, most importantly me.

Golly, I'm not sure I can do that many adjectives at once. I wonder what kind of adjectives I'd get if it had been something more than a half-assed Minnesotan compliment? (Err. Do not feel obliged to answer that.)

Ever hear about the Minnesota Norwegian who loved his wife so much he almost told her?

Several of my great-uncles are still waiting politely for the punchline to that joke.
