mrissa: (getting by)

This is worse than when I had the left set out. I'm pretty sure. More nausea, more difficulty swallowing, more dizziness. My mother is a Hero of the Revolution for having Ista today: she is a good Nurse Puppy, but she often wants to lick her alpha monkey's face, and I don't think I could deal with that right now.

Also I am having the weirdest half-dreams when I lie down and close my eyes. [livejournal.com profile] papersky, do you really find it troublesome to have charge of an inflatable hippo balloon? Because in my half-dream, [livejournal.com profile] zorinth had bought you one for a Thanksgiving present, and it was more trouble than a new puppy, and also [livejournal.com profile] rysmiel had dropped the planet (that is, Earth) down between the seats of [livejournal.com profile] dd_b's car and we had to try to get it out again without causing global cataclysms. There was some reason that the car's color (green) was some relief under the circumstances, but I was never clear on why that was; [livejournal.com profile] rysmiel and [livejournal.com profile] dd_b had a good deal more experience in retrieving planets from automobiles than I did, in this half-dream.

I shall continue reading Nalo Hopkinson. That will make my trains of semi-conscious thought much more normal. Riiiiight.

Ugh. I ahve to get mine out at some point, and this is not helping me.

I actually had them scheduled to come out twice last year. The first time, my grandmother died. The second time, my dad died.

I'm afraid to ever have thme taken out.

What, nobody sent your body the memo that it's supposed to be easier with only local anaesthetic? I'm so sorry. These bureaucratic mixups really suck.

But I am sure that rysmiel and dd-b can rescue the planet.

P.

Hmm, the Mrissa appears to be on happy juice :P Did they give you Tylenol 3 w/ codeine for the pain or something else?

I still vote for you to retreive the planet, Mris. Just saying.

(And not today. The planet will be here tomorrow.)

Yikes. Sorry it's not going well. Best wishes for a speedy recovery.

Good heavens, I can see why.

As for my experience, it's not as bad as all that. I spent most of the day dizzy and nauseated, but I react strongly to most medications, and I'm hypoglycemic (so nausea tends to feed on itself). If you don't have either of those factors, it'll probably be easier for you.

This probably is the easier version with only local anaesthetic, given how my family members tend to respond to general/sedation.

As long as it's someone else's job to rescue the planet tonight, we're all good. It is officially not my turn tonight.

Kept some soup down for supper. That helps.

Well, as long as I don't have to do it tonight, as I was saying to Pamela above. Not My Turn tonight.

I'd be thrilled with a hippo balloon. Though not as much as with another sun one.

Get well soon!

Of all the things I might do given supreme power over the Earth, fiddling with it in the back of [livejournal.com profile] dd_b's car and dropping it between the seats would genuinely never have occurred to me.

The dropping it between the seats did not strike me as deliberate, in the context of this dream.
