Unalloyed happiness

mrissaThere are down sides to being possessed of a few social graces.
For example: I knew I couldn't call down to my parents' house at 5:50 a.m. when they've got a houseful of guests just to say, "Daddaddaddaddad! Dad! Hey, Dad! Dad! Guess where I just sold a short story?"
So he will have to wait to be excited to find out that it's to the Futures department of Nature.
The story is "Alloy." It was slightly longer than their narrow margin of word count originally, but I looked at it and thought, "Don't reject yourself for them. You can shave a few words off this." So I did, and they liked it, and yay! Story!
