And here I was just saying on Ravelry that I wanted to try knitting things like socks but ran into the problem that I have no desire to wear them. (My ideal socks are very thin and machine-made.) Obviously it wouldn't happen before Christmas, but the next time I'm in a yarn shop and look longingly at sock yarn and DPNs, I will try to remember that
