Aaaaaah! Bob Costas! Do not quote "O Canada" as prose! Do not paraphrase "O Canada"! Aaaaaah!

But their meteoric rise was fueled by their consistency!

SHUT UP, BOB COSTAS. Didn't I make myself clear about this during the previous Olympics??

The Gustie rouser just makes me twitchy.

Don't worry, dear heart, I promise not to shine until tomorrow afternoon.

What now? I don't understand. How, why would anyone paraphrase "O Canada"?

Bob Costas: "With glowing hearts they see Alexandre Bilodeau rise to the top of the gold medal podium."
Me: "WHAT."
Bob Costas: "From far and wide--"
Me: "AUUUUUUGHHHH NOOOOOOOO!"

I have long envied your ability to tune out annoying things. In this case it is nothing short of a superpower, considering how often they played it and quoted it at us after the tornado. Go, [livejournal.com profile] gaaldine superpowers, go!

Ok, it was a truly nice thing, young Mr. Bilodeau winning that medal, abd I'm glad his older brother is such an inspirational figure for him and all. And also ditto for all the other heart-string-tugging things they will tell us about. But they can give it a reast.

There's a Bob Costas drinking game, but it causes liver damage after just one hour.

Yah, this is why we resorted to, "Shut up, Bob Costas!" Too fond of our livers.
