I mean, I would be thrilled with a book that would let people be friends. But why would these people be friends? They don't like each other. Colleagues who are able to work together despite their dislike of each other would be so great, but somehow it's very difficult for those people to be main characters. Like, you never have a cop duo of the partners who seriously do not like each other but are really pretty good at working together. Sigh.
