New story out today in Beneath Ceaseless Skies: The Splinters of Our Bond!

I have feelings about wood witches. And also I have feelings about vigilantes in fiction. And it all got wrapped up with a sibling relationship and the complications of "we only have each other" and...this is the result, and I hope you enjoy it.

I worried very much for Nerit there in the middle of the tale.
I liked the story very much. (I'm rooting for Nerit...oh dear perhaps that comes out a bit off in context of the tale!)

I finally took the time to read this. I enjoyed it, thank you! I like your wood witch’s predicament and choice for justice.

Also, thank you for using “cavil” in a story. I first learned the definition of cavil as a teenager. I was reading the dictionary and it was used as part of the definition for what then became my favorite word.

My favorite word is QUIDDITY. The dictionary I was reading defined it as:

1. That which makes a thing what it is, and differentiates it from others.
2. A cavil; a captious question.

I’m quoting from a 40-year old memory so I don’t promise 100% accuracy. But the trio of quiddity, cavil, and captious has stuck with me ever since. I rarely see them used and am always pleased when I do.
