Not really a con report
Mar. 26th, 2005 06:51 amGot home from Minicon last night to find that
markgritter has syndicated my other journal. You can read it on your lj page at
novel_gazing. Or you can ignore it completely. It's entirely up to you.
I'm having a good con. Maybe I'll go to a panel or something today. I hear they have those.
It's getting to be a Thing at every con I attend: someone has to ask me, "Have you been standing there talking for the last two hours?" And I check my watch and, yep, I have. I decided last Minicon that talking to people is a pretty big part of why I'm there, so if I've got a good spot where people are wandering by and joining the conversation and leaving it when they like...well, why wouldn't I stay there two hours, if there were still people to talk to?
Through the joys of lj, I've met people for the first time and announced, "Oh, I know you!" And generally they haven't looked mortified and pretended they didn't. So okay then.
