Got home from Minicon last night to find that [livejournal.com profile] markgritter has syndicated my other journal. You can read it on your lj page at [livejournal.com profile] novel_gazing. Or you can ignore it completely. It's entirely up to you.

I'm having a good con. Maybe I'll go to a panel or something today. I hear they have those.

It's getting to be a Thing at every con I attend: someone has to ask me, "Have you been standing there talking for the last two hours?" And I check my watch and, yep, I have. I decided last Minicon that talking to people is a pretty big part of why I'm there, so if I've got a good spot where people are wandering by and joining the conversation and leaving it when they like...well, why wouldn't I stay there two hours, if there were still people to talk to?

Through the joys of lj, I've met people for the first time and announced, "Oh, I know you!" And generally they haven't looked mortified and pretended they didn't. So okay then.

I don't suppose you can convince him to do a full text syndication rather than just a link to the journal?

Meh... it's possible. If I'm asked politely. :)

Aren't there limits on how large the feed is allowed to be? So I don't think full text is doable, although the first paragraph or whatever would not be too hard to add.

Full text should be fine. I've got several full blogger feeds on my FL, and a few entries have been longer than anything [livejournal.com profile] mrissa's ever Novel Gazed.

I didn't get any cookies, but I hacked something together anyway. :) Should be full-text now.

You could try to make the links in chronological order. :)

I don't know what's up with that. They're in the right order in the feed, and in the friends list, but not in the livejournal syndication page.

It just does that when it first syndicates. One of many baffling things about the init.
