Is normal lacking in tumors and other structural abnormalities.

Expected, but whew.

Now the question is: what the heck is wrong with me?

WHEW!

Are they looking for weirdo things like adult-onset celiac allergy, and suchlike?

Yay for the lack of structural abnormalities! And good luck with figuring out the rest.

Well, I'm very glad to hear your brain has no tumors. That would be horrible.

As for what's wrong with you...no idea. But most likely it's less serious than brain tumors would be.

Glad to hear your brain has the correct number and organization of parts. :)

Thank the powers that be it wasn't a tumor. I hope the search for an answer is a short and simple one.

Very glad the doctors finally got back to you -- especially with good news!

As to the broader question...oh, never mind.

Whew!

I'm sure you've already gone though all the blood tests and what not, right? Nasty, sticky, uncomfortable stuff, but very informative - if they have a clue what they're looking for.

Have you talked to a holistic doctor? I like the way they look at everything, not just symptoms.

We've thought of mono to explain the fatigue, although it doesn't cover all of the other symptoms. Worth checking for. Hell, a partial diagnosis would make me happy at this point, but I'm afraid some of the other unnamed symptoms are flat-out weird enough that they're distracting to medical personnel.

Date: 2005-08-11 02:48 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] mrissa.livejournal.com
The other symptoms don't seem to point to anything remotely like that, I'm afraid.

It is a brain that has decided that I can't be a Quaker because of Tom Stoppard, so I'm not sure good is the adjective you're thinking of.

But it has not been a boring brain, at least from the inside.

Big assumption: the doctors did not, in fact, get back to me. I chased them down through several phone transfers and eventually talked to the triage nurse. Ah well.

And as to the broader question, I stick my tongue out at you. I don't have an icon that does it, so you'll just have to take my word or wait to see.

We're just at the beginning of this, so my regular doctor and the MRI techs are who I've talked to. They've done some blood tests, but possibly not all the relevant ones.
