The obvious news.

Mark's grandma died this morning. The memorial service will probably be on the weekend of the 19th.

We feel about like you'd expect. Maybe a little worse.

I'm going to curl up with a book and hope that that helps. The book in question is Wizard of the Pigeons, and while I haven't read it before, I trust it already.

No party after all

I just sent out a note to all those who had said they were coming and all those who hadn't RSVP'ed, saying that there will be no party here this Saturday. Mark's grandmother's memorial service will be this Sunday. I'm not sure what prompted the change of plans, nor is anyone in the family I've talked to, but it's a stressful time for Grandpa, and it may be that the wait was going to be too long. Anyway, we're scrambling to try to get something figured out to get Mark and me flown in and out of Grand Rapids on Saturday/Sunday or something like that. We don't know what the deal will be with Kev's visit, but we're trying to figure out something good. And that's what I know.
