One rejection, that's it. The rejections I've been getting lately sound a lot more like, "why this story wasn't quite for me but close" than like, "why this story sucked, you incompetent ass." There have been worse trends. "Why I am buying your story and you should send me more stories" would be an even better trend, though.

It's a really bad sign when my brain starts reading your seriously-written love scene with the heroine using Rick Moranis's "Princess Vespa" voice.
