82nd, first

Today would have been Grandpa's 82nd birthday. It is the first of his birthdays we are observing without him.

I liked it better the other way.

Books read, late January

The disinclination to read nonfiction continues. Not sure how long it'll last, but there's not a shortage of good fiction out there, so I expect I'll survive it.

timprov and I want a picture book called My Big Sister Is So Emu, filled with drawings of an emu in full emo-kid getup doing emo-kid things, much to the disgust of his/her (human) younger sibling.

I hear tell it's good to want things. But neither of us has the drawing skills up for it, really.
