More sale.
Nov. 22nd, 2005 04:10 pmI just sold "The Flask of Today" to Story Station, a children's webzine. Neat!
The title came from a misread of the phrase "flask of Tokay," so maybe the "celebrate in keeping with the title thing" is not a bad idea. Much more expensive than a pomegranate, though.

Date: 2005-11-24 04:18 pm (UTC)Back in the day, many many, many days ago, I was a Stoli gimlet girl. Now, I am a very lightweight old girl and if I carry a flask (thermos)it would be hot coffee, or cider or cocoa, or soup.
I was intrigued by the idea of "tomorrow" and that may have been a little of your ladies of the mtn, a spelled drink.
What is a girly drink? :-)

Date: 2005-11-25 08:12 pm (UTC)OK then, like Bailey's in my coffee. Gotcha.
Also, I am being very cautious with the beverages just now until I get a better handle on how the silly morphing body is handling things. ;-)
Did you mention somewhere when the story is coming out?

Date: 2005-11-23 01:19 am (UTC)I haven't been able to find a story to fit the reado "Castle of Liver" (for Castle of Lir, or "Illustrated Horsewhips" (Illuminated Manuscripts.) Or a way to use Reincarnation Roman Catholic Church.
When the Chinese dinosaurs were at the Minnesota Museum of Science, the person I was with suggested we get something to eat and said "They have terrible coffee." I turned up my hearing aid, but it was another couple of tries before I realized she was saying "Caribou Coffee." And I did use a place called Terrible Coffee in a story. (Not that far-fetched; Minneapolis now has A Bad Waitress Cafe.)
And in another story, I had the Owl Garden.
