"Good news, everyone!"
Jan. 31st, 2006 02:11 pmAfter having been injected, inspected, detected, neglected, and selected (but not, one hopes, infected), I am happy to say that I do indeed have a sinus infection.
And the crowd goes wild.
We don't have a guarantee that the sinus infection has caused all my problems all along. But we know I definitely have one, and now I have a prescription to deal with it, and if I don't feel better after the antibiotics, I have a referral to an allergist, because the ENT felt strongly that there are indications at this point that it was otolaryngological, not neurological.
We are all in favor of as many problems as possible being non-neurological.

Date: 2006-01-31 08:24 pm (UTC)If it turns out to be an allergy, that's not exactly curable, but somewhere better than treatable somehow.

Date: 2006-01-31 08:27 pm (UTC)Did they have a rationale for thinking it was possible the infection caused all your problems?
