Still no news.

Except for local news, and that is that [livejournal.com profile] timprov's spinal fluid symptoms have been returning at record speed all day.

This is not perhaps the local news we would hope for to balance out the possibilities for more distant news.

Also nobody has sent me legally binding promises of metric buttloads of gold, platinum, and saffron for my beautiful artistic soul and the books it writes.

Also the buttons for "sarcastic" and "bitter" and "silly" on the back of my head all keep getting stuck in "on."

I don't have gold, platinum or large amounts of saffron, but I may have some myrrh around here somewhere... assuming your smeller isn't still broken.

Sorry the day isn't proceeding well and that local and regional news isn't balancing out as you'd like.

Is there some small comfort in being able to write "Timprov's spinal fluid symptoms" instead of "Timprov's symptoms, the origins of which we do not know"?

Some small comfort, yes indeed. "When/how can we get the medical profession to do the following things?" is a much different question than, "What the hell? What the HELL?"

We already have [livejournal.com profile] fairmer, albeit not in person. Err. I suppose I'm not supposed to pronounce it that way any more. Poor Mer.

Do this a least help prove that the excess spinal fluid is the cause of his symptoms? I mean, to the satisfaction of the people who can prescribe drugs to fix im? Or was it already proved?

Hard to tell yet, but it looks exceptionally clear from here. Right now the problem is getting in to see the said people.

Spud and I should give you more hugs when we see you again. Hugs fix everything....right? And if not...why not?

Sorry to hear. I'd gladly send gold, platinum, and saffron if I had any.

Sweetheart, if you really want the saffron, I will bring it in a gallon bucket.

You know you can have my books without it.

You do not want saffron after it's been in someone's butt.

Remind me to tell you my dreadful nun joke sometime.

Err, umm. Does it involve saffron? Because the other half of that free-association is...rather more dreadful.

Oh that sucks. Are they/will they be closer to figureing out why T's body is making extra spinal fluid?

I mean, it's great that they can draw it off and have him feel better, but preventing the build-up would be even niftier. Is spinal fluid the same stuff that cushions the brain? perhaps his brain is growing...hmm, but then they'd want to trepan him. :-/ I'm thinking that'd be sub-optimal. Maybe a little brass spigot on the back of his neck...

Sorry things continue to be rough.

I'm not sure they'll figure out why, but he has to see the neurologist yet about medication etc. to make it stop, and then the build-up wouldn't be prevented even if they didn't understand what caused it.
