Date: 2006-04-03 07:11 pm (UTC)But tonight, my Rhy is coming over to show off her new engagement ring (emeralds, mmmm) and eat chips and salsa and see the many-many flowers in my yard. So there is something to look forward to.

Date: 2006-04-03 08:36 pm (UTC)My late morning looked like this:
1. Start vacuuming house.
2. Look out window, devote nanosecond to heartattackfreakout.
3. Separate mare from stallion. Determine whether inevitable happened. (He missed, she's 'way taller than he is.) (It would not be a disaster if he hadn't. However.)
4. Sort remaining highly excited female equines and return to proper storage space.
5. Repair two gates he jiggered and she shredded.
6. Get heart rate back to normal.
7. Finish vaccuming house.
Not exactly sorting dragons, but for fire-breathing leapage, snortage, and overall excitement, it's not too far off.

I'm contemplating making meringue cookies, if I can figure out what to do with the four leftover egg yolks. Usually it's the other way around -- I make meringue cookies because I have spare yolks from some other recipe. But I've fallen into the habit of having a little something at mid-morning and mid-afternoon, and meringues (made with erythritol rather than regular sugar) make a nice low-calorie little something, even if I toss in a few chocolate chips.
