mrissaThree rejections, one revision request, one request for additional material. The revision suggestion is small and improves the story, so I'm pleased; even if they don't buy the revised version, it'll be a good thing to have done to this story.
Between those and a previously sold story that needed line-edits, yesterday was very much in the revision mindset, but I did manage new words as well. Things are getting removed from the to-do list that have been on there for weeks or months. This is heartening but weird. And yet somehow I don't seem to be running out of stuff. Go figure.
Ista is better today and doesn't have to wear the cone on her head. She does have monkeys watching her an annoying amount of the time, but compared to the indignity of a conehead, this is really not much. I've warned her that monkeys always look, so she can't say this is a surprise. And she gets to see the grandmonkeys tonight, so she doesn't even know how good she has it yet.
