Gilded

Aberrant Dreams has just published one of my stories, Gilding the Dandelion. I wrote it in 2003, before we left California. Ahh, publishing. It's very strange to have some stories selling quickly and some slowly, and some of the sold stories coming out quickly and some slowly--makes it look like things go together temporally that really don't on the work end of things.

And speaking of the work end of things: back to it.

Thanks for the link! I'll read it when I have time later. I glanced at the beginning already, though, and the eighth word was certainly a surprise. It's not a name that comes up that often!

I read the story. I'm glad I'm not attached to people with my name being likeable! (Though maybe she would be, if I knew her life. I don't know. The side we see of her here isn't.)

The second time through I saw clever bits I missed or couldn't see the first time.
