I seem to have sold "The Grandmother-Granddaughter Conspiracy" to Clarkesworld magazine. Woo! Even Margaret Atwood would have to admit that this story is science fiction, because it has alien squids in it. In case anyone had any question, I want that clear up front.

This is one of the stories inspired by elisem jewelry--in this case a pair of earrings I gave my mother. They looked sort of space squidnal, and so what else could I do?
