In addition to the two panels I posted about earlier, I'll be doing a reading Saturday at 4:30. [livejournal.com profile] mmerriam is reading right before me, so we will be a double header of fabulous fabulists.

I can't make the con, but if you are doing a presentation (reading a paper), could you post them?

(Curiosity and all)

Only a few science fiction conventions have the presenting-a-paper mode, for good or ill. The modes we mostly use are panels where the panelists will discuss a topic in an impromptu fashion, with input from the audience, and readings where a fiction writer will read some of their fiction.

At least part of my reading will be a chapter from the current work, and I haven't decided yet whether I'll read another chapter, a previously published short story, or a new short story for the rest of the time slot.

I sometimes manage to write up panel reports for the panels I'm on, but I can't guarantee how next week will go.

*nods*

The only SF con I presented at was very much a Conference, not a Convention, if you know what I mean. I had a full script for SFRA, just like I would have had for any other conference.

I didn't know how this one played. Thanks.

ICFA is like that, too. Someday I'd like to go back to ICFA. We'll see when that happens. Probably not very soon.
