I just got my arthur copy of Bewere the Night, and Amazon says it's out for the rest of you, too. For those of you who are interested in shapeshifter fantasy or stories by me, cmpriest, nihilistic_kid, swan_tower, and a whole bunch of people not on my lj friendslist.

It's up for pre-order on Chapters.ca and they're doing their usual "we're giving this a 25% markdown so you'll buy in it advance" sale, too. YOINK. Now I just have to come up with $14 worth of other stuff to get the "free shipping on all orders over $25" thing. Because I am cheap. And also: more books.

OH NOES, SUCH TRAGEDY. MORE BOOKS.

Seriously, the mail dudes know where my apartment is now. At first they had to follow the signs for "numbers blah through blah are thataway", etc, and there are multiple Canada Post employees who do my building depending on what day of the week it is. But now they know where #109 is. Every one of them. And they know me by sight, if I ever catch them in the mail room before they can get to me. I'm the place where all the damn book deliveries go. ;)

It's about an environmental journalist who discovers some weirdness with researchers at an Arctic station focused on walruseseses.

I avoid referring to walrus-selkies as walkies. So there's that.

No, it wears a white suit that gets mistaken for a bunny but in fact has wings folded up in a little square backpack on the back, making it a moth suit.

This is so I can go around the house with new books and magazines saying, "I Arthur! I Arthur!"

(Seriously, the author copies for some of my nonfiction showed up with a packing slip reading, "ARTHUR COPIES." It stuck.)
