Today at Beneath Ceaseless Skies, Alec and I have a new story for you: “On the Weaponization of Flora and Fauna”. It’s got colonialism and rare birds and the risk of being turned to stone by the imperial basilisk. I’m pretty pleased with this one–it’s one of my favorite things Alec and I have written together–so I hope you like it too.

Indeed; I quite liked the pieces of the ending. A bit of a sense of having won by being very clever but having forgotten to ask whether winning was desirable.

It makes a person wistful for the sequel -- and I'm fairly sure there is one, though of course it may always only exist in the implications of this one. But with implications like these, that's a fairly solid existence as it is!
