Date: 2005-02-16 03:56 am (UTC)An interesting observation. Certainly I believe that we are still feeling the aftereffects of the War to End All Wars to this day. I bet someone could even construct a reasonable argument that it hasn't ended at all but we're still fighting our way through the aftereffects of it (unfortunately that's probably entirely to positive, yes, positive).
I have long been interested in the deeper societal consequences of The Great War (it's still deserving of that appellation in my opinion) and if you're interested I'd be glad to provide my contact info so we could correspond on the matter. My opinions on the matter are, however, unusual, that you might be warned in advance.
