I blame [livejournal.com profile] fairmer for the fact that I ended up mentally constructing and referring to a screwball comedy featuring Civil War reenactors, in which I was masquerading as [livejournal.com profile] pameladean some of the time for the benefit of reporters from the society page, and also there were hellhounds in the back of someone's hybrid for it all to work. I was awake for this. Yes, I think blaming [livejournal.com profile] fairmer is the only thing to do.

Clearly it must somehow be her fault that the phrase "screwball comedy" and the word "hellhounds" have gotten wired together in my brain.

Oh, it's going to be a long, long con, if this is how my brain is firing now.

Oh--Civil War reenactors.

Of course! They nap while they're playing dead!

PS I will shoulder the blame, if only because I like causing mayhem in the brains of others.

Thank God I was here. Your children had missed months of school.

See what I meant about going and sitting quietly?

Yes, I think blaming [livejournal.com profile] fairmer is the only thing to do.

In many circumstances this is true.

Two of my college friends separately agreed to the general statement, "It's all my fault," so I suppose technically I do have options. But sometimes they're less appealing options.
