Happy Canada Day to everyone who can properly pronounce phrases such as, "out and about in a boat"! And thank you for giving us one singable national anthem at hockey games, at least!

(And neither "about" nor "a boat" is the same thing as "a boot" in an up-north accent. Phoneticization of accents is usually a vast and silly oversimplification.)

Do you know what they do for Canada Day? They let small children climb around on dragon-shaped play structures! And then there's ice cream!

Maybe that was just the one time I was there, but it sure made an impression.

Three rejections.

So. Things I'm thinking about revision (and thanks, some of you, for asking).

revisions of the Sampo kind )

That's what I know right now. But I know how to do things I didn't know how to do last week, with this book, so next week maybe I'll know something more. Could happen.
