COVID Spring: The Drive to the Library

The banks of lilacs across the street
New-bloomed, strong enough
To smell through my mask,
And the cherries and apples full blossoming:
Just like after the tornado.
Before the pandemic
Each dog was beautiful.
Now each human is too.
