We went to the Hidden Falls park. We walked as far north as the fence that marks the park boundary and a goodly ways south (past the MN River junction). At one point, Kev said, in his best Westley voice, "Hidden Falls? I don't believe they exist." But none came leaping out of the trees to wrestle him. Which is probably just as well, as there were no flame spurts for him to roll the falls upon and thus defeat them.

Still. Awfully darn hidden if you ask me.

Ah, please forgive my unintentionally misleading statement (http://www.livejournal.com/users/mrissa/17398.html?thread=103670#t103670). I am not one of the proud (mythical?) few who have ever actually seen the falls -- just the Hidden Falls Park in general. [livejournal.com profile] mmerriam and I dipped our toes in the mighty Mississippi on a cobblestone beach, and wondered where the heck the falls actually were.

No problem -- I just expected that if it was called Hidden Falls Park, well....

Guess the falls are pretty well hidden, eh?

Cal (T's dad) apparently found them without meaning to a few years ago. Yarg.
