mrissa: (getting by)

If [livejournal.com profile] timprov does not feel any worse than he does at this moment, [livejournal.com profile] porphyrin and I will take him to the hospital tomorrow morning. (Any worse than he feels right now and we are crating the dog and hitting the ER as fast as we can get him there. But it'll be easier for several reasons I'm not willing to go into here if we can go tomorrow morning with [livejournal.com profile] porphyrin.)

C.J. will spend a big chunk of the day with [livejournal.com profile] missista so that she doesn't have to be in the crate all day and I don't have to be running back and forth. Then my dad will come at the end of his work day and take Ista to spend a week with Mormor and Morfar. They enjoy each other's company, I don't have to drive myself nuts taking care of myself, [livejournal.com profile] timprov, and the dog without [livejournal.com profile] markgritter's help, and I don't have to ask as many people for favors as I otherwise might. (I know you're willing. But they really want to spend the week with her, and it's a lot easier this way.)

We will see what they say at the hospital and go from there. I'm behind on e-mail already and probably won't be catching up very consistently over the next few days, but that doesn't mean I don't like hearing from people. I appreciate it very much. We've just got a lot of stuff to handle right now.

this all sounds useful and therefore hopefully good.

Take care, all of you. (And it won't kill Ista to be crated for a while, if that makes everyone's life easier. I know you know this, and that you're a good dogmom, but saying it just in case.)

I know. She spent a couple of hours in the crate this afternoon, and she appears to be fine now, and so do I.

The problem with crating the bop if I'm not going to pass her off to someone else is that it seems to defer the running around rather than skipping it. And I am a morning person, and my energies flag over the course of the day, so if I crate her, I'm usually putting off hyperbeast mode for when I can deal with it less well.

Today we went for a nice walk after she got out of her crate, so I'm hoping that'll stave off hyperbeast mode.

I'm sorry to hear he's not flourishing. Best wishes to you both (and Miss Ista too).

Oh, good about the dog. I was trying to figure out if we could possibly take her, but no fence, many cats, probably many bop booby traps, eeek.

She will have a fine time.

Now that things have changed, if we do it that way, she will.

Anyway, we have other people we would ask way before you for the reasons you've listed, mostly people with small dogs of their own. It's very sweet of you to think of, though, and she's fond of all your housemonkeys she's met.

Being unable to offer to drive makes one think of improbable other things. I've even seen people with small dogs of their own offer to take her. But sometimes the fabulator works overtime.

We don't really speak dog around here, either, though I think DD-B has a better idea of it generally.

Sorry about the erupting untidiness. Silly universe.

[livejournal.com profile] dd_b and Ista certainly seem to have a common pidgin at the very least.

And I can drive and still think of other improbable things to help, so I think we may just be improbable people.

I'll be thinking of you all, and perchance lighting a candle too. May it all go smoothly and well.

I'm sorry that health is crap for 2 out of 3 people in house. That is ....... not good.
I hope you both get the treatment you need, and that there will be much pup playing in your future.

Thank you so much for offering this. I didn't have a chance to reply before we went in, but it was a great comfort to have in the back of our heads for the days when nothing seemed to be making substantial improvement.

btw, ya don't need to be using a wc, the lift is quite helpful for someone that has difficulty getting into or out of a vehicle, balance or fatigue concerns.

just trying to offer what practical asst we can.

I appreciate it so much. It looks like this spinal tap thing really helped, so I'm hoping he doesn't have balance and fatigue concerns in the immediate future, but if he does, we will know where to turn. (Especially as this may be an ongoing problem he needs to have treated rather than a one-shot deal.)
