Distraction
Jul. 9th, 2004 08:13 amIf you want something to read, my old short story "From the Hip Flask" is here. It's one of the oldest stories I still had in circulation, and I'd probably do it quite differently today, but there it is anyway. Those characters will get a novel someday. I still like the 1920s. Underused fantasy decade. Also the 1930s. If I can pry my brain off the 1950s and the, er, 1030s-ish.
Also, for those of you on my friends list, I apologize for the shameful display of puns in the comments of my last locked post last night. Tsk.

Date: 2004-07-09 09:12 am (UTC)I always tell people I went from being the Good Girl to being the Wild Woman when the Crowd graduated and left me to make friends with younger folks, and my habits didn't change. My younger group of friends didn't start drinking much until they were turning 21 (when I had graduated). One of them actively wouldn't let me spike his cocoa with Bailey's, but mostly it was a matter of access.
