I'm reading papersky's Tooth and Claw, which was a birthday present from seagrit and Jeff. And I'm a little alarmed at the speed with which I've adapted to the book and sit here reading and thinking, "Ooh, bad dragon, I hope he gets eaten soon!" Whether this is an indication of my depravity or papersky's skill, I can't say.

Isn't it a lovely book? I heard her read the first chapter at Minicon two years ago, and then had to wait for the rest of it. But yes, the speed with which some of the cultural assumptions take root is very impressive.
