I should have known it was bad when Laura kept hanging around in my head as a distinct character from Lucy. And looking alike but subtly different.

I think they're sisters.

If Laura starts asking for her own book -- oh, noooooooooooooo.

Never type the phrase "her own book." Because then your brain will perk up and say, "Her own book? Oh, I know what that would be about!" Just as you're writing your lj entry. And it will present you with other characters. Because it is such an obliging brain.

Maybe we can bargain down to a short story.

Stupid, stupid, stupid brain.

"her own book" it's a self-curse, isn't it? I did it to myself and now I have three characters who each wanted their own book and have left the main book which leaves me with all the really angry people in one place. Sigh. Stupid creative brains we have.

Happily, nobody seems to be attempting to abandon book on me, or I would have to Speak Firmly to them.

I say that alla forty-eleven times I start something, so far I managed to finish three. Writers, Bah! That and playing a musical instrument are the two things I'd love to add to my skill set.

Well, now you've done it. You've given her her own LJ entry. Of COURSE she's going to demand a book NOW.
