SNOW!

It was snowing when [livejournal.com profile] timprov and I left Perkins this morning. Snowing! None of it was sticking, but it's the thought that counts, right? I am delighted. I love the first snowflakes of fall.

I dreamed that when one of my teeth came out, they took the memory module with it, so I forgot all sorts of things like, "do not let strangers kidnap you and take you to Las Vegas; you don't like noisy deserts." I don't think they're actually going to remove any of my wisdom today with the wisdom teeth. Well -- not permanently, at least. Anyway, I'm not looking forward to it, and I wish it was just done already, but at least there is soup. And my stick blender is the best thing ever. The "turbo" setting sucks onions into the vortex at an alarming rate. Very pleasing. I like having a turbo setting at my disposal. I find it calming.

I'm tempted to say that everything needs a turbo setting, but my brain won't leave me to my hyperbole and insists on pointing out items that are better off without, like electric toothbrushes and slow cookers

Just so. But everyone needs something with a turbo setting.

A slow cooker with a turbo setting would be great! I'd love a fast cooker. I wouldn't cook the same things in it as I would a slow cooker, though.

don't they call that a microwave? Or maybe a convection oven?

Or maybe a frying pan, but yes. But having the turbo button there would be pretty excellent.

I am delighted that you are delighted. You seem to get so much joy out of this that I'll gladly send you Toronto's first snowfall, too.

Hope everything goes well with the wisdom teeth.

You are the very soul of generosity.

And thanks; me, too.

I hope your operation goes smoothly and you recover quickly without complications. My wisdom tooth extraction wasn't horrible, but it was still a day of vicodin and liquid foods. :-(

Yah, the last one wasn't too bad, could have been worse. I mean, it hurt, and I held ice to my face a lot, but I wasn't, like, scarred for life.

I do wish the last guy had taken out both sets of wisdom teeth, since he seemed to know they were both going to need doing (but didn't tell me until after he'd only done the left side). I would still have been stuck with liquid food and T3, but I would be done by now.

You got snow before we did. Something seems off about that.

Clearly! Me too. I was in bed smelling the breeze last night and smiling as I fell asleep.

And the trees Mris! We have just hit peak color here, or started. I've pics but I didn't reinstall the aol software when I got to NYC. Not sure if I mentioned my laptop went dead again on the trip down. I sepnt a couple of hours before the Con setup started reinstalling things. I got the basics back on and the photo software. Yup that is a basic now. I was on the hotel ISP there and I've been mulling what to do now.

I can't really get the color right anyway. Or the way it glows. :) Pardone. Blathering again here!

I have practically forgotten what it's like to live somewhere where it snows in the fall. Nowadays I don't see snow until late December if I'm lucky, or January if it snows at all. Woe!

I say woe! now, but come January I'll be complaining about the snow just like I complain about the lack of it. Clearly, I should invest in a bubble.

When I was in college, we had a standing joke about putting a dome over the town of St. Peter. But I love the snow, even in January.

I'm in your corner - I prefer having the tooth out, rather than going to. *snug*

And I read, "you don't like noisy desserts." and was trying to figure out where in Vegas you could get that. Like those candies for kids that pop in your mouth.

Same here about the desserts. I thought it was like showgirls popping out of cakes, doing the high leg kicks ... Mrissa going, "Please, can we tone it down???"

From: [identity profile] mrissa.livejournal.com
Yah, not so much with the showgirls, please. Anybody planning a party for me in the future: take note.

And also with you.

(That's how you can tell someone who was raised Lutheran at a Star Wars showing, you know: whenever someone says, "The Force be with you," they automatically mutter, "And also with you.")
