Ista woke up at 5:00 this morning wanting some water. So we did that, and I ate some food, and then the two of us curled up on the library couch and fell asleep. 6ish, she needed to go out, and we switched to the living room couch. After 7, she needed to go out again, and we switched back to the library couch. And I slept until -- *drumroll* -- after 9:00 a.m.

This is so weird. I haven't slept past 7:30 in ages. I really, really needed it, I guess. And the hot water poodle certainly approved.

She's still a little punky around here. [livejournal.com profile] markgritter and I just syringe-fed her, which was not the most fun we've ever had in a morning. But then she ate a biscuit to get the taste out of her mouth, so that's a win. I think she's tired from her hard days -- being up all night with barium running through your system and people x-raying it all the time is not easy! -- and recovering. But if she can't keep food down etc., it'll be back to the vet's with us. Still, she voluntarily ate four of her favorite kind of dog biscuits last night when I had scattered them around the house. Voluntary eating is good. She's starting to smell a bit more normal, although if I have to syringe feed her that's going to stay an issue a bit, as part of the difference in smell is the different and stickier food.

As for me, I'm still a little punky around here, too, but the sleep sure helped. I'm down to taking Advil instead of SuperAdvil, with the theory that if 200 mg isn't enough, I can take more of the 200 mg to go up to the 600 mg dose anyway. I also may even eat a bit of meat today. Oh, the thrills that follow wisdom tooth removal! I am sitting here biting down with my molars just because I can! I know, I know, I'm such a show-off.

There will be writing today, or I will know why not. Well, I know why there wasn't much yesterday and none at all the day before. But that's the expression, you know. I don't write them. Anyway: writing today. Really.

I hope your Advil jiggering works out as planned. And hopes for the other things too, of course.

That'll teach ya to grow wisdom teeth!

Glad things are getting better for everyone.

Thanks; she took hand-feeding instead of syringe-feeding in the early afternoon and even went from that into eating a bit on her own.
