My dog has discovered blowing bubbles in her water dish and was doing it for fun.

I am too tired to have anything else to say, but I keep thinking of that and giggling. Strange, strange little beast.

Loki has discovered that when I fill his water (it's a spiffy fountain that circulates water) that air bubbles will flow up from the holding tank. And then he tries to catch them.

What a goofball. Doesn't that get her chin awfully wet? What does she do with it then?

She was wet all the way up to her eyes. Poodles are water dogs, so as long as she is the one who chooses to get that wet, she is perfectly happy with it. When she gets sick of being that wet, she goes and scruffs her face in the carpet or, more likely, on one of the afghans we have around the library and living room. Or in my bed. Good thing I'm a dog person, and good thing I'm washing the sheets today.

We had a cocker who would scruff her face in my hair; hence my curiosity.

She loves to scruff her face in my hair when it's somewhere she can reach it, but not usually as a towel. Which is just as well, really.

My kitten has discovered that if you dip your paw in your water bowl and then shake it vigorously, you can get the water to go everywhere, especially if you don't take your paw out of the water first. Thankfully she hasn't tried blowing bubbles yet, or the carpet would be even damper.

Smart beastie. The only animals I've met who do that are horses, and not all of them...

I dogsat a Sheltie once that did that. I heard it from the next room and was a bit concerned until his people told me that yeah, there's a towel on the counter for wiping up dog-bubble spills. Jazzdog doesn't do that, which is probably good given how much he drinks from the toilet.
