Beginning to look a lot

I think I have declared it officially Christmas here. We've been seeing friends and family from out of town. (I'm never sure how much to say publicly about people who haven't posted information about their plans publicly. Suffice it to say that I have turned yet another person on to the joy that is pepparkakor.) I am trying not to go too insane on the subject of finding a box to wrap my great-aunt's skillet. She can just be unsurprised by the shape of it. And being as how it's my great-aunt and she's thrilled to be included at all, she will probably giggle if I suggest it's a pony when she goes to open it. I'm pretty good at hitting my old folks' sense of humor these days.

Last night when I went to bed it felt like I had time to do -- if not everything I might think of, because it's me here -- certainly a large number of things. Now...somewhat fewer things look like they're going to fit. I don't know how much time I'll have to read and post over the next few days. Some time, but not as much as usual. Hope you're all having a good Christmas, or else a good weekend of whatever other flavor you like.
