Dear Minnesota,

My sweet, my beloved state, if you had to pick a season to skip, you chose well. We have been cranky with each other about August in years past, you and I, and perhaps it's best for our relationship if we just avoid the subject entirely.

And the yellow leaves outside my window are gorgeous. It's not that I don't appreciate them. I don't know how much they cost you, but they're extravagantly beautiful.

Still...three solid months of raking seems like it might be a bit much. And I was hoping to go to Fair this weekend, maybe. Maybe? And I'd like to be able to do Fest in a jacket or cloak and not my wool coat, if it's all the same to you, so...can we stop this trend just a little bit?

Love,
M'ris

Humid today and eighty or more later this week. Hope you're happy. 8-)

I didn't ask to reverse the trend. I just wanted to stop it for awhile.

And actually I am fairly happy with getting to go barelegged and sandalled awhile longer.

come to fest. Stop by the maypole. Say hi since my plans for the weekend evaporated so I can go out there this weekend after all!

If we go this weekend, we'll say hi. My bet is on September, though, because I am having a mad fit of cuisine on Saturday (on [livejournal.com profile] porphyrin's behalf), and if I'm to make it to the Fair it had better be Sunday or Monday, since [livejournal.com profile] timprov and I leave a week from today.

...a...week...from today...oh dear.

It's better if you don't rake: better for your lawn (mulch) and your health (mental). If you get the urge to rake, just roll, roll, roll in them until it goes away!

I think you do not understand how very many large trees we have in the backyard.
