The wolf's only opportunity will be to melt the darn thing; it's just not going to blow it down or arrive via chimney.

Plus, pigs with harpoons.

And in fact, that is exactly what happens: ice houses melt under the wolves' breath, but not all over at once, just in the spot where the wolf is breathing on it, giving the pigs time to run away out the back door and climb something high to get to safety.

There was a whole episode of Rupert Bear (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rupert_Bear) where Rupert was asked what he wanted for Xmas, and they thought he said "an ice boat", and much complicated engineering/magic ensued till they achieved it, and then found out he'd actually said "a nice boat"...

I had never heard of Rupert Bear before, but I automatically approve of people whose response to a Christmas request of that sort is engineering and/or magic rather than saying, "Oh, sorry, here's some socks instead."
