I'm going to see the new specialist this afternoon.

Last night we were theorizing about best-case treatment scenarios. "They'll pat your head gently in just the right spot and make everything in your ears go back where it's supposed to," said [livejournal.com profile] timprov. "No," I said, "it'll be a very simple physical therapy routine: it's just a jump to the left...."

I have no idea how our lives would go if we had to be serious, but we've never really tried it, so no great risk.

Have you considered accupuncture/accupressure? I'm constantly amazed at the kinds of results that come out of this kind of treatment.

I know you mean well, but please refrain from making any further treatment suggestions. I am seeing people about this. I have ideas for what else to try if this course of treatment does not work. None of my vertigo posts have in any way been intended to say, "What should I do? Please advise me."

It wasn't advice, merely curiousity. I haven't tried it, myself, nor have I felt the need to. I guess I just have a difficult time picturing how one approaches treatment for this kind of thing. I will refrain from any further comment on your disorder.

Well, in my case there are at least two clinics in the city that specialize in vertigo and balance disorders. So my doctor grabbed me a recommendation for one, and when that one didn't do much good, Dr. [livejournal.com profile] porphyrin suggested another, and my doctor concurred and promptly wrote the rec. So that's how we've approached it so far.

I hope everything works out for you! I kinda like your suggested cure better than anything I've heard lately!

My Mrs. and I have considered this possibility as well, and feel pity for those who take so many things much too seriously.

I'm very sorry.

Where by "sorry" I mean "not at all sorry."

Hey, the Hokey Pokey therapy would also get your exercise quota in, right?

That's not the Hokey Pokey. That's the Time Warp.

But it would still work for exercise, I suppose.

Is the Hokey Pokey the same thing as the Hokey Cokey? (Kids' game/chant: standing in a circle, "You put your left leg in", etc.)

I love you guys.

Good wishes sent about this afternoon and good outcome.

Worst case scenario, you can just make Timprov and Markgritter spin around and around every time you walk into a room so you're all even. I don't know how you'd explain it to the Wonderpoodle, though.

She would not need an explanation. She loves spinning around and around. She uses it to demonstrate her cuteness to the monkeys when we seem to have forgotten.

Unfortunately, your therapy appointment can only be made for midnight at the local movie house, and you're expected to wear an appropriate costume and know all the lines.

Hey, at this point, if I have to throw toast to make this better, I will throw toast. And smile as I do it.

I wonder if singing (shouting??) the Toast song during intermission would help then?

-hugs-
