Gentle reminder

It's that time of year again. Being a responsible adult who checks up on her reproductive health is such a bitch.
So while I head off for the medical equivalent of eating a live toad before breakfast, I'd just like to remind you female-people that monthly breast self-exams are a really, really good idea. I do them. I'm deeply grateful that my mom and grandma do them, too. I already lost one grandma this way. Cancer has no respect for age or cup size or prose quality. If you don't know how, your doctor will show you, or go here to get the Komen Foundation's version. No excuses.

Date: 2004-09-14 07:40 am (UTC)You would think with all the work they just did with my surgery....that this would not be necessary. They could have tortured me in one or two visits...but now we have to do the third. *more whining*
Like the toad part though. =)
