I went to bed early with a migraine last night. Stupid migraine. (Reading Oliver Sacks's Migraine means that every time I get a migraine, my coherent thoughts are of how bad it isn't and how glad I am it isn't.) But the thing is, migraine sleep rocks. If I can get to sleep with a migraine, the sleep is heavy and clear and fantastic, and I wake up feeling like someone scrubbed my brain down with a hose.

This makes me very hopeful about today and the book. A freshly scrubbed brain can't hurt, right? Shower and then book and then conversation with [livejournal.com profile] timprov and then book and then lunch with [livejournal.com profile] dd_b and then book and then supper and then book. Hmmm. That sounds good, but something fiddly like the post office and the grocery store may intervene. We'll just have to see on that part.

Also I recommend The Time Traveler's Wife by Audrey Niffenegger. It's a love story more than an exploration of a spec fic idea (a lot of exploration just didn't get done, and some of the stuff that did get done was the worst part of the book, in my opinion), but as love stories go, it's a very compelling read. Now on to Tony Daniel's Superluminal. Well, now on to shower: you read the schedule above. But whenever that schedule breaks down, Superluminal will be there for me, maybe.
